Whether you're looking for a family outing, a date night, a farmers market, live music, local shopping, theater, comedy, or one of the many indoor activities happening around town, there's truly something for everyone this weekend.
One of my favorite things about living in Bakersfield is how much our community shows up for one another. Every weekend brings new opportunities to support local businesses, discover hidden gems, and make memories with family and friends.

Friday, June 26
5:30PM — The View Night Market @ Ridgeview High School Parking Lot — Local vendors, food, shopping, and entertainment. Great way to kick off the weekend.
6PM — Hip-Hop Music Bingo Night @ Centro Cali Brewing — Interactive music bingo featuring hip-hop and R&B from every era. This one's more fun than it sounds.
7PM — Boy Band Night @ Jerry's Pizza & Pub — NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, throwback dance party. No cover. No excuse not to go.
7PM — We Own The Laughs @ The Well Comedy Club — Stand-up showcase featuring D'Maurier Johnson. Doors at 6PM.
7PM — Mean Girls @ Ovation Theatre — The Broadway musical. Yes, it's fetch. Go see it.
7:30PM — The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County @ Bakersfield Community Theatre — Stephen King musical with John Mellencamp. Weird in the best way.
7PM — Crushed Glass Art Party @ Corks & Strokes — Instructor-led workshop. Fun and you leave with something you made.

11AM — Science Saturday @ Buena Vista Museum of Natural History & Science — Hands-on science demos for kids. Admission included. Air conditioned.
2PM — The Baka Few Tour @ Northeast Branch Library — Free live performance. Check it out.
5PM — Minecraft Kids Rave: Creeper Glow Fest @ Jerry's Pizza & Pub — Family-friendly Minecraft dance party with glow gear and games. Your kids will lose their minds.
6PM — Southwest Night Market @ Independence High School Parking Lot — Food, desserts, crafts, boutiques, collectibles, and local vendors. One of the best night markets in Bakersfield.
6PM — Magnolia Kitchen Grand Opening @ Magnolia Kitchen — Live music, Italian ice, homemade classics. Support local.
6PM — Downtown Photowalk + Movie Screening @ 700 22nd St. — Community photowalk followed by an outdoor screening of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. This one's special.
7PM — Jim Trino @ The Well Comedy Club — Live stand-up. Good Saturday night option.
7PM — Sip & Paint: 50 First Dates @ Drip House Coffee Co. — Couples paint each other's portraits while watching the movie. Cute date night idea.
