Northwest Edition: My Favorite Florist in Northwest Bakersfield 💐

If you know me, you know I love finding the places that make Northwest Bakersfield feel like home — and this week, we’re stopping at one of my favorites: Uniquely Chic Florist & Boutique.

And trust me, this is NOT just a flower shop.

The second you walk in, there is something cute to look at everywhere. Flowers, plants, gifts, home décor… basically, good luck walking out with only what you came in for. 😂

But one of my favorite things about Uniquely Chic is their display cases filled with beautiful, ready-to-go floral arrangements. So if you suddenly remember a birthday, anniversary, hostess gift… or realize you probably shouldn’t show up somewhere empty-handed — they’ve got you. 🙌

For this Northwest Edition, I got to go behind the scenes and watch an arrangement come together from start to finish.

And apparently I’ve been doing flowers wrong my entire life. 😂

Greenery first.

Watching the arrangement come together made me realize how much the greenery creates the shape and foundation before the flowers even go in. Then, little by little, the florals completely transform it.

It’s one of those things that looks effortless when someone who knows what they’re doing does it — and then you realize there’s actually an art to it.

Uniquely Chic has been locally owned in Bakersfield since 2007, and every arrangement is designed by hand right here in their Brimhall Road studio.
