When people ask me about schools in Northwest Bakersfield, CA, I always smile when Liberty High School comes up.
Not just because of its reputation—but because I'm a Liberty graduate myself.
As a former Liberty Patriot, I may be a little biased, but I also know firsthand how special this community is. Walking those halls helped shape who I am, and now, years later, I have the privilege of helping families find homes in the very community that helped shape me.
That's a pretty full-circle moment.
One thing I've learned as a Realtor is that families aren't just buying a home—they're choosing a lifestyle.
When buyers ask me about Northwest Bakersfield, CA, schools are almost always part of the conversation. Liberty High continues to be one of the schools that families ask about because of the opportunities available to students both inside and outside the classroom.
Liberty High offers students a wide variety of opportunities to discover their interests and prepare for life after graduation.
Students can participate in:
Whether a student's passion is academics, technology, agriculture, leadership, or the arts, Liberty provides opportunities to get involved and develop valuable life skills.
Liberty High has also earned a strong reputation for its athletic programs.
From football and basketball to volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, wrestling, track and field, and many other sports, Patriot athletes have consistently represented Northwest Bakersfield with pride.
Athletics at Liberty aren't just about winning games—they help students build teamwork, discipline, confidence, and leadership that extend far beyond graduation.
One thing I hear over and over from my clients is that they aren't simply looking for another house.
They're looking for a place where they can imagine raising their family.
That's exactly why I love helping families move into Northwest Bakersfield, CA.
The combination of welcoming neighborhoods, parks, local businesses, community events, and schools like Liberty High creates an environment where families can truly put down roots.
Every time I drive past Liberty High School, it brings back memories.
It reminds me of friendships, teachers who invested in their students, school spirit, and a community that continues to grow.
Today, I get to experience Liberty from a completely different perspective—not as a student, but as someone helping the next generation of families find their place here.
For me, that's incredibly rewarding.
